Sankofa Welcome Home Tours Ltd – Booking, Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
1. Booking Terms
A non-refundable deposit of £250 per traveller is required at the time of booking to secure a place on the tour.
The remaining balance must be paid in full at least 8 weeks (56 days) before the tour start date.
Bookings made within 8 weeks of departure must be paid in full at the time of booking.
Payment can be made in instalments provided that the full balance is cleared before the due date.
A completed booking form, valid passport copy, and emergency contact information are required for all participants.
2. Cancellation Policy
If a traveller chooses to cancel their booking, the following refund structure will apply:
Cancellation Notice Period Refund Entitlement
More than 56 days before departure 100% refund minus deposit
29 to 56 days before departure 50% refund of the total amount paid
28 days or less before departure No refund
All cancellations must be submitted in writing to info@sankofawht.com
3. Rescheduling Policy
Travellers may reschedule to a future tour date if notice is given at least 6 weeks before the original departure date.
Rescheduling is subject to availability and may incur an administrative fee of £50.
If a traveller reschedules less than 6 weeks before departure, the standard cancellation policy will apply.
Bookings are non-transferable to other individuals unless approved in writing by Sankofa Welcome Home Tours Ltd.
4. Tour Calendar & Group Size
Sankofa Welcome Home Tours operates on fixed tour dates throughout the year. Tour dates will be published in advance on our official website and communications.
All tours require a minimum of 6 participants to go ahead.
If Sankofa Welcome Home Tours Ltd cancels a tour due to low numbers or unforeseen operational reasons, travellers will be offered either:
A full refund, or
The option to transfer to a future tour date.
5. Travel Insurance Requirement
All participants are required to obtain comprehensive travel insurance that covers:
Medical emergencies
Trip cancellations
Loss or damage to property
COVID-19 disruptions (if applicable)
Proof of insurance must be provided at least 2 weeks before departure.
6. Important Notes
All bookings are subject to Sankofa Welcome Home Tours Ltd Terms and Conditions as outlined at the time of reservation.
The company reserves the right to amend itineraries, adjust pricing, or change accommodation or transport arrangements due to circumstances beyond our control.
